Austrian and German scientists escaped from the Nazi regime in the 1930’s and found refuge in the newly created Turkish Republic under the cloak of University reform. These great scientists of their era in escaping the Nazi regime; were pivotal in raising the standard of Turkey’s education system. Filmed on location in Austria, Germany and Turkey; this episode tells the story from the perspective of the children who were born and witnessed these times.
