Kırmızı Mikrofon in Concert
A group of Turkish business professionals from the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area made their debut as a choir on June 3rd at the James Madison High School in Vienna, Virginia. The “Kırmızı Mikrofon” Choir (Red Microphone) performed a variety of Turkish folk songs, classical pieces, and modern pop songs.
The choir, which was founded in November 2021, is made up of singers from a variety of backgrounds. They are all united by their love of Turkish music and culture. The choir’s two-hour performance featured a variety of Turkish folk songs, classical pieces, and modern pop songs, delighting the audience with their beautiful voices and heartfelt melodies.
The concert was a joyous and unforgettable experience for all who attended. Mrs. Inci Mercan, the wife of the Turkish ambassador, was in attendance and said that she felt “very privileged to be in such a beautiful concert.” Mrs. Inci also thanked the performers for their compassion in donating the proceeds to the earthquake survivors in Türkiye.
The concert was a huge success, and the choir received rave reviews from the audience. The choir is grateful for the support of their community, and they look forward to continuing to promote Turkish culture and music through their concerts.
