This episode tells the story of how the Poles were wiped out from the maps by Russia, Prussia and rebelled three times against the Austrian Empire; whilst their leaders sought refuge in Turkey. The main story of the documentary is the how this 600 year old friendship between Turkey and Poland created Polonezköy (Polish Village) where the grandsons of these people still remain.
Filmed in Turkey and Poland views of the Ottoman Empire and Turkey towards Poland is researched as well as military and cultural aspects by interviewing Academics and Diplomats.
