Nazan and Utar: Two young, talented artists
Singer, songwriter and guitarist Nazan Nihal derives the inspiration behind her music through the real-life experiences of others. Her songs are a form of storytelling that express the dynamics of relationships. Her song “Paket” translated to “Package” in English garnered her an award in Turkey. Among her accomplishments is a PhD in pharmacy. She lives in Boston, Massachusetts. Composer, film scorer and jazz pianist Utar Artun, began his education in classical percussion at Hacettepe University, Ankara State Conservatory, graduating in 2008. Following graduation, he pursued his education at Berklee College of Music in Boston and earned various prestigious awards. Nazan and Artun are working on collaborative projects.
