Young musician Yalkın O. Kaynar from Pittsburgh, PA and his coach Dr. Teri Lazar, musician in residence at the American University in Washington D.C., present their work.
This is the third of the series “Young Musicians” produced by the dedicated volunteers of the Turkish-American Television (TATV), which is the longest running community television platform of the Turkish-American community in the U.S.
Find below what our young musician said about his online experience with Dr. Lazar since November 2019 that was possible through Sunday Zoom meetings.

“The whole experience with Dr. Lazar was very fun. Dr. Lazar guided me through the difficulties between recording and practicing. The most important thing I learned is how crucial it is to count with the metronome to stay in sync with the other person. Overall it was a different experience than I was used to but it was very nice getting to know and interacting with people of Turkish heritage.”
